There is no extra charge for 5th week lessons and no discounts given for holidays. If I miss a lesson, I will make it up or give a discount. If a student has an excused absence with at least 24-hour notice, a make up lesson will be offered. Payment is due at the first of the month with a grace period through the fourth. If your first lesson of the month occurs after the fourth, please mail the payment or deliver payment (postdated is OK) at the last lesson of the previous month. Practice Time: Students of all ages should practice a minimum of 30 minutes daily, three hours per week, as a guideline for maintenance practicing. However, there are exciting local and regional opportunities for Jr. High and High school band and orchestra students that would require more commitment. Practice time should be divided evenly between the following, (with some variance according to age and ability): Warm up long tones and scales; etudes and technique; solo and chamber music; band and orchestra music; audition music (when applicable).
